Cape Town, South Africa, Project by: Luis Mira Architect. The house is used as a holiday home by a single person, who often invites guest to stay. So, it needed to be a space that could be used as a controlled studio with the feel of being open, as well as to be able to morph into private and individual spaces when the house is full of visitors. The privileged position of the land and the generous climate of Cape Town informed the design process with precision, as it would be an imperative client’s brief that called for ‘all rooms of the house with a sea view’.

Located on Kuramathi Island in the Maldives, Kuramathi Island Resort is ideally located with spectacular views of the Indian Ocean. This resort is comprised of 290 villas of various sizes and has been designed with preference for natural materials and ocean inspired color schemes.

Cape Town-based studio SAOTA – Stefan Antoni Olmesdahl Truen Architects has designed the Cove 3 project in collaboration with ARRCC, situated in The Cove at Pezula Estate outside Knysna, on the West Coast of South Africa, this family home enjoys sea views to the East and South.

Adaptive Re-use + Heritage Hunters Hill By Tanner Architects.

With the objective of creating a new residential ensemble that allowed the historic character of ‘Lyndcote’ to be strengthened, this project designed by Tanner Architects refined several awkward additions that had occurred over many years. Through the amalgamation of two sites, there was the opportunity to recapture some of the original landscape setting and improve the connection between the interior of the house to the garden.
