Vedbaek House by NORM Architects.
In a corner of the humble little town of Vedbaek in Rudersdal, Denmark sits this old restored home by NORM Architects. It is called the Vedbaek House. Enhancing the history, they allowed the original details to continue to speak for themselves like the exposed beams and original wine cellar. By knocking down a few distracting walls, they exposed the unique staircase which encompasses the main living space. Adorable nooks in the walls appear seamless as they display pottery. Modern amenities make for a comfortable contemporary lifestyle.

Rough stone and smooth steel house in Mallorca.
Italian artist Fabrizio Plessi has made one of his dreams come true on the sunny Balearic Island of Mallorca, in the form of Finca Sa Pedra. The renovated and converted house made of large, rough, yellow sandstone blocks is surrounded by cornfields and olive trees. The stone also informs the flair of the light-flooded rooms, complemented by white walls and a minimalist interior design concept.
