Northbridge House II is a private residence designed by Roth Architecture and is located in Sydney, Australia.
The house’s restrained and solid street presence, opens at the rear and cascades down the sloping site. Timber is used to soften the architecture, providing texture, rhythm, balance and a device that filters light throughout the home.
The home is a striking example of how a simple special layout, considered materiality and sensitivity to a site’s environment can produce a home that feels at once connected to nature, and modern and rich without needing ornamentation.
