Restaurant “Kumpel”, located in Lviv, Ukraine, takes its name from ukrainian word “kumpel”, which means “friend” in Galicia. It’s a place for loud, friendly companies, where the homely atmosphere and stylish design is combined. The authors of this eclectic design are Arsen Kostyshyn and Mykola Mondych from Interior & architectural design studio ARS-IDEA

The designers were trying to create an expressive contemporary design with a lot of accents in furniture and decorative elements. The purplish red color used in creating this dining space adds a character to it and keeps the guests interested in the details. Lamps, made from buckets, light up the space and create a special atmosphere that accompanies great meals.
In this space were successfully combined different elements, such as concrete ceiling, metal window frames from old factories and retro photos of native Lvivites on the walls. All of the metal decorations are truly rusty.
The restaurant is divided into several zones and has three levels. The enter to the restaurant goes through the handmade shop, which is also designed by ARS-IDEA.
This restaurant is a great example of a modern urban space, that makes unforgettable impression.
