Fusion comes to life thanks to the synergy between two Italian companies leaders. By sharing motivations, goals and philosophy, Alimonti and NewSystem present the project that defines the new dimension of bathroom in natural stone and wood.
Massimiliano Gamba has always been exploring bathroom and water themes in terms of architecture, design and technology. Intending the bathroom as a place to relax, rest, rite. Where mind and body purity goes along with purity of shapes.
Design is preceded by a path of introspection. Only at the end of this personal journey, space and shapes will correspond to uses and needs. This process allows the technical perfection to the spiritual quality. Ritual is added to functionality.
Fusion is a project with a great materic character, designed through clear and clean lines, where wood and stone are combined according to a principle of spatial continuity that blends space and content.
The collection consideres the use of exclusive natural materials such as marble, granite and natural wood, in coordination with taps, frames and metal complements with various surface finishes, allowing you to set up environments according to your customer’s wishes, with all the warmth coming from natural products.
Fusion is versatile. The project was designed to harmonize within any setting, at the option of using the required materials and surface finishes in unlimited combinations.
The dimensions of all elements forming the Fusion line can be customized.
This opportunity allows us to consider Fusion a real “tailor made product”.
Fusion washbasins are carved from a single block of stone in three versions, as if to make progress in the transformation of material, from the simplest form to the most complex.
A design that goes beyond time and fashion, characterized by purity and simplicity in shape.
Washbasins are equipped with click-clack waste and integrated overflow drain.
Fusion bathtub is a freestanding bathtub with simple and clear shapes. Massive in its generous exterior dimensions, it reveals itself incredibly comfortable and sinuous on the inside, made to accommodate your body with unprecedented ergonomic design within stone bathtubs.
The project provides for an extension of the bathtub, like a chair or lounger with soft mattress for relax before and after bathing.
The shapes neatness is also achieved thanks to the use of an innovative and smart pop-up wast with integrated automatic overflow.
A shower tray with no limits, extending alongside the entire bathroom. This is the Fusion shower tray.
Integrated functionality: the waste is concealed by a stone slab opening, thus maintaining continuity of the floor.
The cabinet with doors is equipped with internal shelves, drawers, sliding shelves and whatever desired by the customer. Functional and spacious.
The chest of drawers Fusion is an essential and seductive custom furniture, with a large top, drawers and shelves for accessories, cosmetics and towels.
Selected materials from all over the world make an exclusive location, by creating unique and sophisticated atmospheres.
Stone and wood elegantly decorate any room, with bright or subtle tones and harmonious nuances.
The available finishes for metals are pre-selected, while the proposed essences are only indicative, given the option of using them in unlimited combination with desired surface finishes.
In the matter of stone parts, the Alimonti collection of marble, granite, onyx, travertine and limestone is nearly endless, also in consideration of the varied surface finishes that can be performed on these materials.
This work came from the desire to blend two noble and natural materials like wood and stone, and to blend the space with its contents.
I believe the beauty of this project comes from, besides by the beauty inherent in the two materials, from duality clarity and purity of shapes / complexity.
The brochure designed for the presentation of Fusion, meets the same concept that underlies the design: the origami embodies this dichotomy of beauty of simplicity and complexity of construction.
