Duplex in Odessa is a project designed by YoDezeen.

“In this project we have accumulated all the experience gained during this year. Working in a variety of styles we have realized that strictly following the rules of a particular one you will never let you achieve an unexpected and breathtaking results. That’s why in this case we have applied the principles of improvisation as an engine for progress. Basically interiors were performed with a touch of industrial style where we have added a great amount of classical decorative accents. Such combination of elements of different stylistic nature give an apartment the feeling of exquisite elegance inside the ”steel frame”. First level of this duplex has an open space planning and looks like a typical industrial loft with concrete flooring, exposed brick walls and massive furniture, like an enormous sofa upholstered in high-count fabric, kitchen island and a big table made of solid wood with naturally lots of chrome-finished elements. The second level is a sleeping zone that accommodates three bedrooms. Master bedroom is an elegant space with walls covered with classical wooden panels that are a great background for a canopy bed. On the sidewall we see a floristic print that underlines presence of a woman in the room. Two other bedrooms are absolute opposites – one is a mix of industrial and classical style, while another resembles a residence of a little princess.”
