Vistors of the City Hall of Leidschendam-Voorburg will be in for an architectural treat with the most stylish interiors perhaps not readily expected in a government building, which is what makes this BREEAM certified building so special.
The new location was required to bring together 6 independent locations into one amazing building, managed by increasing space from a 7000 m2 to 10.000 m2 with an addition of 3000 m2 extension. The eths of the whole project was to create a new home that looked and felt like one. The use of natural light and architectural ironmongery in stair cases and open areas was off set with the visual warmth of Dennebos 220 mm wide pre-finished F.S.C certified planks to the floor. Rarely do you see public space and office buildings merging to create a welcoming and appealing place to be.
A total of 640 m2 of Dennebos planks were used in the central areas, standalone areas and staircases, and also laid to offset break out areas which then abutted up to other soft floor finishes. The planks wre perfectly engineered to create a seamless finish taking into account the tolerances of all the other finishes.
Timber flooring form Dennebos proving once again that it is at home just about anywhere. We thank the architects O.T.H from Amsterdam, for their clever and innovative use of our beautiful product.
