InterQuartz Company, а supplier and manufacturer of products made of natural and faux stone, came to us again, for the second time, for a design of a showroom, where their materials would be represented.
The showroom designed by Geometrix is situated in an innovative creative enterprise ArtPlay in the center of Moscow, Russia, where designer stores, showrooms, and galleries are located; that is why it is not only had to meet the company’s philosophy of the quality, but also be a piece of creative approach to presentation of the product.
The client asked us to leave some area of the showroom empty and zone the open-space in such a way that there appeared a management area, an area to communicate with clients, a mini kitchen with a bar counter, some selves for samples presented, and a hidden built-in closet with geometric elements for associated goods, papers and catalogues, to make it free of standard partitions and halls.
We have created a black-n-white geometric basis that hides all the functional side of the room and a yellow architectural volume as an emphasis that disguises the kitchen and bar.
To emphasize the field of concern of the company, we used all materials that InterQuartz works with; thus, the white area is made of agglomerate, the black area is made of natural marble, and the working area and the geometric volume of the bar is made of Corian – faux stone.
The white closet and the kitchen set are made of medium density fireboard (MDF).
It is also worth mentioning that the planning of the showroom is free of right angles and classic showcases; this is how we avoided using a standard presentation scheme when samples are shown in showcases – here we showed the applicable potential of the Company.
Thus, an eventual buyer sees not only the materials the Company supplies, but also understands what can be made of these materials.
