Barê House by Angá Arquitetura

Barê House is a project designed by Angá Arquitetura. Originally planned to be a rental, this house had to be compact, while providing all the necessary comfort for pleasant days at the beach. Photography by Carolina Lacaz.

The project is divided into two blocks: in front, the more open, integrated living spaces: living room, kitchen and terrace. Then, in a more reserved setup, the three bedrooms. As with the uses divided in two blocks, the same is true of the structure of the house: in the social area the roof is supported by a wooden structure, apparent throughout the space. In the sleeping quarters, it sits on the structural masonry, ensuring a more reserved space, in addition to a more economical construction.
The goal was to use few materials and light colors, honoring the tranquility of the beach. The burnt cement floor, the wood on the ceiling and structures, as well as the rough white paint give the house a stripped-down air of a summer home without losing its charm.
