The Writing Studio by DiMase Architects is a testament to the beauty of minimalism, where functionality meets artistic expression in a harmonious blend. Photography by Kristian Gehradte, Katya Menshikova.
Nestled at the back of an existing residence, this compact structure contains a simple designed interior that fosters inspiration and ignites artistic flair.
Despite its modest size, the studio utilises cost-effective materials to create a solid and robust framework. The main space of the studio effortlessly opens onto a serene private garden, enhancing the ambiance and providing a peaceful backdrop to any artistic endeavour. As a testament to the owners’ passion for the arts, an awe-inspiring installation by muralist Manda Lane adorns the east-facing wall, further elevating the aesthetic appeal of the space.
The project is truly complete when the garden is complete, as the surrounding landscape is an integral part of the overall design. One of the most remarkable features of this studio is the entryway – sitting on the steps and crossing the threshold is an experience in itself, marking the start of a creative journey.
