Bringinging Natural Light to a Victorian Weatherboard House: The Inspiring Story of Rosie – Ascot Vale House
Nestled in the heart of Ascot Vale, Victoria, Australia, stands the stunning Rosie – Ascot Vale House, a testament to innovative design and architecture. This remarkable two-storey extension to a Victorian weatherboard house is a masterclass in capturing natural light, a key focus given its south-facing orientation.
Set amidst a 275m2 site, the 180m2 project was brought to life by the skilled team at Blueprint Constructions Pty Ltd, in collaboration with Eckersley Architects. The result is a breathtaking fusion of traditional charm and modern functionality, seamlessly blending the old with the new.
The extension’s clever design ensures an abundance of natural light fills the space, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The clever use of orientation, window placement, and clever design elements has allowed the architects to overcome the challenges posed by the south-facing site.
This remarkable project was completed on January 1, 2023, marking a triumphant conclusion to a complex and carefully managed construction process. The attention to detail and commitment to excellence displayed by the project teams is evident in every aspect of the final product.
