Casa en el cielo by Maquita Arquitectos

Casa en el cielo designed by Maquita Arquitectos is located in Mazatlán, Sinaloa. The project design proposal is born from the user’s needs and the inclined topography of the land, which will define the main access on the first level; generating a private space on the ground floor that is made up of a bedroom and a bathroom illuminated and ventilated by a private patio.

Yuji’s House by Goiva

With a narrow and short lot, Yuji’s House is located in the Pinheiros neighborhood, on the west side of São Paulo. The project is by the Goiva office, by architects Karen Evangelisti and Marcos Mendes, and the 40-year-old building, made of solid bricks, retains a traditional look on a street in the middle of other houses and without much car movement. Starovolynskaya by Geometrium

Starovolynskaya is a project designed by Geometrium. “The difficulty was only at the planning stage – due to the large distance of the entrance area from the bedrooms. A “night track” has been applied – several spotlights built into the wall in the corridor and an LED strip under the cabinets in the bathrooms are switched on by a sensor – so as not to bump into corners at night and not turn on bright blinding light. A water softener was used to provide customers with clean filtered water.”

Green Walls & Gables by Matter

Green Walls & Gables is a project designed by Matter. An existing bungalow occupied the site when we were first engaged. The young family of 5 living within required more space and a greater connection to the land. The decision was made to work with the existing bungalow, there was a love for this house, choosing to embrace the inherit constraints. Photography by Simon Devitt.

La Maison Xun by LDH Architects

Located within a quadrangle courtyard in Beilucaoyuan Hutong in Beijing, La maison Xun, a Chinese style restaurant, has been put into operation quietly. Unlike other popular high-end restaurants today, it boasts its comfortable modern art and antique architectural pattern. Designer Liu Daohua of LDH Architects insists on respecting both history and nature.
