House 109 is a project designed by Frari. This house confronts one of the most important arteries in the city – the National Road EN109. Since it is designed for a residential use, the architectural piece is materialized in a uniform body which, through its shape and arrangement, protects itself from the busy road. Diagonal House is a project designed by Frari. This villa, located on the surroundings of the city of Aveiro, is part of a consolidated residential area, but with low occupancy density, being part of a housing complex of allotment, with some lots already built. The proposed building is a non-homogeneous piece, composed of different volumes that form a single body. Photography by Ivo Tavares Studio.

This project designed by Frari intends to refurbish a single-family house, severely affected by pathologies resulting from defective construction options.
In addition of trying to correct the existing pathologies, we also intend to rectify the dysfunctions of spatial organization. Besides, the ambition of the project is to rehabilitate the dwelling to give it new habitability conditions, and to ensure that it becomes more versatile and with better construction details.
