Constant Springs Residence is a project designed by Alterstudio Architecture. The opportunity to live simultaneously in the center of the city and in an isolated refuge presented a powerful circumstance for this family of four. Within a very ordinary neighborhood, this 3,230-square-foot home is oriented to take maximum advantage of the unexpected escarpment, creek, and natural views offered at the rear of the property. The apartment designed by Serboli Bureauis situated in the heart of Barcelona’s Old Esquerra de l’Eixample neighborhood, within a mid-20th-century building. Casa Bosque is a project designed by Grizzo Studio. The plot on which the project was to be built was a portion of the garden of an old house located in the residential neighborhood of Martínez, San Isidro, a neighborhood characterized by an abundant presence of vegetation. Nature was, without a doubt, the host of the place, we wanted to be able to maintain the feeling of being inside that leafy garden on which we began to project, this was our premise when designing, enhancing the play of light and shadow proposed by the treetops that surround it. Curved Attic designed by Destudio is the renovation project of a unique property in the centre of Valencia with privileged views over the old Turia riverbed. The architecture of the building itself, with a circular envelope, allows these views to extend along the house, being a characteristic of such strength that it gives its name to the project and around which the main idea of the project is developed. Peach Court is a project designed by Wittman Estes. New homeowners of a historic 1910 Craftsman-style home sought to transform their 2,491-square-foot house by updating it for contemporary living, while adding a rental facility to the property (ADU – Accessory Dwelling Unit). The owners, a young couple, often host gatherings and have an affinity for nature. Seattle, like many cities, faces a housing shortage. Most housing in neighborhoods such as Capitol Hill are single-family homes, built in a time with less need for density. As Seattle has grown, the city has been confronted with the dilemma of how to preserve the historic fabric of neighborhoods while continuing to adapt to allow for increased housing density. House in Sotogrande is a project designed by Fran Silvestre Arquitectos. Located in front of the Sotogrande golf course, the layout of this house invites us to experience the shadow between the ground plane and the roof that extends over it. A generous roof cantilever that not only offers shelter from the intense sun of Cadiz, but also protects from the copious rains that descend from the Sierra de Grazalema, the place with the highest rainfall in the Iberian Peninsula. Barclay Residence designed by Alexander Butler | Design Services is a small but complex renovation of an Office & Laundry Room in an existing building in Tribeca. For this Phase 1 Renovation, the homeowners were interested in developing a more contemporary aesthetic from their existing Art-Deco inspired transitional apartment. For both Office & Laundry, we crafted a simple black & white motif which is embodied in both the architectural elements, like Millwork & Tile, as well as the soft goods, such as the furnishings and custom upholstery & rug.
